Spreading the word
All,
I have been doing my best to advertise the society and hopefully attract new members.
Slowly membership is increasing, but if you can think of anywhere where you can mention us or indeed know anyone who may be interested please let them know!
I am still looking for any articles/ book reviews that you may have for the website - absolutely anything with a link to rugby history and from a member will be happily put on the website!
Cheers
Adrian

Re: Spreading the word
Chaps,
Has the presence of the society and this forum been advertised within the large clubs? They have a huge fan base of like minded people and it may be that they can mention it in programmes/websites/referrals &c.
Also, Facebook may provide a good net to catch prospective members in. However, there needs to be a strategy to transfer Facebook group membership to the actual society and being active particpants on this forum.
All in all, there needs to be some more input from the membership as to how we can go about expanding the society. I found out about the society by chance, how many will not get that chance if it remains relatively covert.
This society has real potential to be something big and worthwhile, but, we need to start pulling people in to grow the knowledge base.
I look forward to some lively discussion as to how this can best be achieved.
Pip pip,
Tim
