BaaBaas Player Lists
Hullo Chaps,
Is there anywhere I can check the player lists for the Barbarians in the years leading up to The Great War?
Pip pip,
Tim

BaaBaas Player Lists
Unfortunately I have not been able to find much in this area.
The Barbarians official website did use to have match/player stats, but these dissapeared when they redesigned the site a couple of years ago. Perhaps they will put this back one day.
Nothing for the Barbarians on the otherwise excellent statsguru on scrum.com
I have been doing it the old fashioned way and using match reports when the occasion has required, but this is a big job for a systematic list!
Sorry that I cant be of more use
Adrian

Baabaas website
Hullo Adrian,
Yes, I noticed the site has the template to undertake this search but not the actual service. It is 'under construction' whatever that may mean.
Do the Baabaas have an official historian/archivist?
Perhaps it would be useful for the Society to build up a database of archivists at clubs for use by the membership. Any thoughts? It would certainly make life easier if we all knew who to turn to should the need ever arise.
Pip pip,
Tim

Re: BaaBaas Player Lists
A few years ago I emailed the Barbarians site and asked for details of the former Wakefield RFC players who had played for the club. They emailed me print outs of the stats sheets.
It's worth trying.
